Creating a PDF can involve compressing a file, making it take up less storage space. Start the conversion of your PPTX files by clicking the Convert button. They can be viewed on almost all devices. The additional X at the end represents the open XML format that makes it easier for users to share and view Microsoft Office files in other programs. Along with similar updates for other Microsoft Office formats, it was designed to replace the older PPT format. The PPTX format was developed by Microsoft and has been the default format for PowerPoint files since 2006.
